सिख रेजीमेंट हेरिटेज गुरुद्वारा, मवाना रोड,मेरठ. अगर आप ऐतिहासिक धरोहरों को जानने या वहाँ घूमने-फिरने में दिलचस्पी रखते हैं तो उत्तर प्रदेश के मेरठ जिले में स्थित इस खुबसुरत गुरूद्वारे में एक बार जरूर घुम आइए। मेरठ जिले की चकाचौंध से थोड़ा दूर, शांतिपूर्ण व अपनी खुबसुरती को सजाए बैठा है – सिख रेजिमेंट द्वारा स्थापित गुरूद्वारा। आपको बता दें, पंजाब रेजिमेंट का इतिहास साल 1846 का है। ब्रिटिश ईस्ट इंडिया कम्पनी ने साल 1 अगस्त 1846 को सिख साम्राजय के आंशिक विलय होने से ठीक पहले रेजिमेंट की पहली बटालियन को आधिकारिक रूप से तैयार किया था,अब इस सिख रेजिमेंट का केंद्र झारखंड के रामगढ़ छावनी में स्थित है जो कि साल 1929-1976 के बीच में मेरठ में तैनात था। यह गुरूद्वारा उसी रेजिमेंट से संबंध रखता है। साल 1956 के आसपास ही इस बेहतरीन गुरुद्वारा की नींव रखी गई। पटियाला के लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल महामहिम महाराजा धीरज यादवेंद्र सिंह जी ने ही इसका शिलान्यास किया था। सिख रेजिमेंटल ने दो गुरूद्वारे बनवाए थे जिनमें से एक नौशेरा पाकिस्तान में स्थित है। जिस संगमरमर के पत्थर पर निशान साहिब खड़े हैं, उसी पत्थर पर आपको सारागढ़ी के बाइस सिख जवानों की अमरता का बलिदान भी आपको लिखा हुआ मिल जाएगा। यह तो सच है, सारागढ़ी में शहीद हुए उन 22 जवानों की कहानी को कोई नहीं भूल सकता। आज भी इस गुरूद्वारे ने सिख समुदाय के सभी दस गुरूओं की शिक्षा की छाप व उनके द्वारा दिए गए बलिदानों को यहीं स्थापित कर रखा है। एक बार फिर निशान साहिब को 2 सितंबर 1973 में नौशेरा पाकिस्तान के भक्तों द्वारा भारत पाकिस्तान बंटवारे के दौरान लाए गए संगमरमर के पत्थर से पूनर्निर्माण करवाया गया। गुरुद्वारे परिसर में उस समय की यादों को ताजा करता हुआ एक भव्य फव्वारा भी मिलेगा जो कि 16 जून 1967 को यहाँ बनवाया गया था। फव्वारे की आकृति भी उस समय के कारीगरों की कलाकारी को बहुत अच्छे ढंग से लुभाता है। चारों तरफ हरियाली के बीच सफेद रंग से रंगे इस गुरूदवारे की बनावट तो आकर्षक और मन को सुकुन देने वाली तो है ही लेकिन शाम को जगमगाती रौशनी से यह और भी प्यारा लगता है। गुरूदवारे परिसर में हरियाली को भी महत्वता दी गई है। तो आज ही जाइए और हमारे साथ अपनी कुछ तस्वीरें साझा कीजिए- THE SIKH REGIMENT HERITAGE GURUDWARA, Mawana road, MEERUT. Let us tell you that the Punjab Regiment has a history that stretches back to 1846. On 1 August 1846, just before the partial annexation of the Sikh Empire, the British East India Company established the regiment's first battalion. This Sikh Regimental Center is now located in Ramgarh Cantonment, Jharkhand, The Centre was earlier located in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh from 1929 to 1976 This Gurudwara is part of the same regiment. Around the year 1956, the foundation of this fine Gurudwara was laid. Its foundation stone was laid by His Highness Maharaja Dheeraj Yadvendra Singh ji, Lieutenant General of Patiala. Two Gurdwaras were built by the Sikh Regimental, one of which is located in Nowshera, Pakistan. The sacrifice of the immortality of those twenty-two Sikh troops of Saragarhi is also engraved on the marble stone on which the Nishan Sahib stands. Indeed, no one will ever forget the narrative of the 22 troops who died in Saragarhi. Even today, this Gurdwara has the stamp of all ten Gurus of the Sikh community, as well as the sacrifices they made. The Nishan Sahib was reconstructed on September 2, 1973, with marble stones provided by Nowshera Pakistan worshippers during the partition of India and Pakistan. A large fountain will also be discovered on the Gurdwara grounds, bringing back memories of the time when the Gurdwara was established here on June 16, 1967. The fountain's design also appeals to the artistry of the artisans of the time.
