From the streets of Rawalpindi to the heart of Meerut, this is more than just a food journey — it is a tale of resilience, flavors, and family legacy.
In 1947, the Arora family migrated from Rawalpindi after Partition. Their path led them first to Shimla, then Delhi, and finally, in 1962, to Meerut. Here, a young 23-year-old, Shri Ramlal Arora Ji, began serving his special dry kabuli chane with fluffy bhature and tangy chutney at D.N. College.
The taste caught on, and the name “Ramlal Cholae Bhaturae Walae” became a legend. His son, Shri Ramesh Arora Ji, carried the flame forward at Ghantaghar, and today, Shri Sumit Arora Ji lovingly serves this timeless flavor, carrying forward a 63-year-old Meerut tradition.
Not just food — it’s heritage served on a plate.
