सन 1950 का समय था। जब ग्रामीण उत्तर प्रदेश में शिक्षा की पहुँच सीमित थी, तब बागपत जिले के ग्राम टिकरी में एक दूरदर्शी पहल की गई। हरचंद मल जैन इंटर कॉलेज की स्थापना केवल एक शैक्षणिक संस्था की शुरुआत नहीं थी, बल्कि यह समाज सेवा और शिक्षा के प्रति समर्पण का प्रतीक थी।
