A legendary name in Indian television, Shri Arun Govil ji is best remembered for his iconic role as Shri Ram in the TV serial Ramayan — a portrayal that earned him a permanent place in the hearts of millions. Though he has spent much of his life in Mumbai, his roots are in Meerut, and his deep affection for his city was clearly visible during our conversation. He was very happy to see this coffee table book, as it celebrates the forgotten monuments and rich heritage of Meerut — a city that holds both historical and personal significance for him.
