आज इस देहाती रास्ते पर जब बैलगाड़ी गन्नों के बीच तेज़ी से दौड़ी, तो जैसे कोई पुरानी याद साथ-साथ चल पड़ी।
वही सर्द धूप, वही कच्ची पगडंडी,
और वही बेफिक्र हँसी —
जो बिना किसी वजह के भी दिल को हल्का कर देती थी।
