ABDUL KARIM MUNICIPAL LADIES PARK, BACHHA PARK, MEERUT. A ladies club was established in the centre of Meerut at Bachha Park by the municipal board of Meerut on the occasion of Their Majesties' Silver Jubilee. The foundation stone was laid by the Commissioner Meerut Division on May 8, 1935, marking the 25th anniversary of George V's reign as King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions as well as Emperor of India. In May 1935, London and the rest of the United Kingdom hosted a number of massively attended events to commemorate the Jubilee.
