Hidden within a narrow crevice of the ancient Aravalli hills lies Galta Ji Temple, a place where faith flows like the sacred spring that has sustained it for centuries. This remarkable temple complex was commissioned in the 15th century by Diwan Rao Kriparam, a courtier in the royal court of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. It takes its name from Sage Galav, who meditated here for years, turning the site into a revered pilgrimage destination.
The heart of Galta Ji is its natural spring, whose waters are believed to possess spiritual purity. These waters feed into a series of kunds (holy tanks) where devotees take ritual baths. The temple complex is dedicated to multiple deities, most notably Lord Hanuman, earning it the popular name “Monkey Temple” due to the playful langurs that inhabit the site. Within its sacred grounds also stand temples to Surya Dev (Sun God) and Balaji.
Beyond its spiritual essence, Galta Ji is a fine example of Rajput architecture — intricately carved facades, layered courtyards, and pavilions that echo the devotion of generations past. Pilgrims, priests, and curious travellers continue to gather here, drawn by both its mythic history and tranquil setting.

अरावली पर्वतों की संकरी घाटी में स्थित गलता जी मंदिर सदियों पुरानी आस्था और परंपरा का प्रतीक है। 15वीं शताब्दी में महाराजा सवाई जयसिंह द्वितीय के दरबारी दिवान राव कृपाराम ने इस मंदिर परिसर का निर्माण कराया था। इस स्थान का नाम ऋषि गलव के नाम पर पड़ा, जिन्होंने वर्षों तक यहां तपस्या की और इस स्थल को तीर्थभूमि बना दिया।
इस मंदिर का सबसे पवित्र भाग है इसका प्राकृतिक झरना, जिसका जल कई कुंडों में भरता है और श्रद्धालु इसमें स्नान कर आत्मिक शुद्धि का अनुभव करते हैं। मंदिर परिसर में कई देवी-देवताओं को समर्पित मंदिर हैं — जिनमें प्रमुख हैं हनुमान जी, जिनके कारण इसे “मंकी टेम्पल” भी कहा जाता है। इसके अतिरिक्त यहां सूर्य मंदिर और बालाजी मंदिर भी स्थित हैं।
