In the historic town of Jhalrapatan in Rajasthan’s Jhalawar district, hidden amidst quiet surroundings, stand a series of remarkable stone pillars — the manastambhas. These are not mere fragments of stone, but symbols of humility, devotion, and spiritual discipline in Jain tradition.
As you walk through this space, the presence of around fifteen such pillars immediately draws attention. Their design, proportions, and sacred placement strongly indicate that this site once housed a significant Digambar Jain complex. Though the temple itself has faded into time, these manastambhas remain as silent witnesses to its former grandeur.
Local traditions suggest that this land has been sacred for centuries, even linking it to the divine samavasarana of Bhagwan Parshwanath — a celestial preaching assembly in Jain belief. While such associations belong to faith and oral memory rather than confirmed archaeology, they add a deeper spiritual dimension to the site.
The true beauty of Juni Nasiya lies not in what survives, but in what it evokes — a lost centre of learning, devotion, and quiet contemplation. The wind that passes through these pillars seems to carry echoes of chants, footsteps of monks, and the stillness of a time when spirituality shaped everyday life.
Today, Juni Nasiya stands not as a ruin, but as a reminder — that faith may fade in form, but never in essence.

कुछ स्थान इतिहास को शब्दों में नहीं, बल्कि खामोशी में संजोए रखते हैं… जुनी नसिया उन्हीं में से एक है।
राजस्थान के झालावाड़ जिले के ऐतिहासिक नगर झालरापाटन में स्थित यह स्थल अपने आप में एक भूली हुई जैन धरोहर का प्रमाण है। यहाँ खड़े मनस्तंभ केवल पत्थर नहीं, बल्कि श्रद्धा, विनम्रता और आध्यात्मिक साधना के प्रतीक हैं।
लगभग पंद्रह ऐसे स्तंभ आज भी इस स्थान की पहचान बने हुए हैं। उनकी बनावट और स्थापत्य संकेत देते हैं कि कभी यहाँ एक भव्य दिगंबर जैन मंदिर परिसर रहा होगा। समय के साथ मंदिर तो विलुप्त हो गया, पर ये स्तंभ आज भी उसकी गौरवगाथा को जीवित रखे हुए हैं।
स्थानीय मान्यताओं के अनुसार, यह स्थान अत्यंत प्राचीन है और इसे भगवान पार्श्वनाथ के समवशरण से भी जोड़ा जाता है। यद्यपि इसका प्रत्यक्ष ऐतिहासिक प्रमाण उपलब्ध नहीं है, लेकिन यह आस्था इस स्थल को एक विशेष आध्यात्मिक गहराई प्रदान करती है।
जुनी नसिया की वास्तविक सुंदरता इसके अवशेषों में नहीं, बल्कि उस अनुभूति में है जो यह स्थान जगाता है — एक ऐसा समय जब साधना, ज्ञान और श्रद्धा जीवन का केंद्र हुआ करते थे।
