Solah Khamba – The Sixteen Pillars of Ajmer.
The Solah Khamba monument, commonly known as the Sixteen Pillars, sits within the Ajmer Sharif Dargah complex. Built of white marble and open on three sides, it features 16 pillars, arches, and four slender minarets at each corner. According to a Persian inscription, it was constructed in 1070 Hijri (1659 CE) by Shaikh Alauddin, a descendant of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.
The west side houses a mosque with three mihrabs (prayer niches) and six graves. It is believed that the structure was built during the reign of Aurangzeb, and Shaikh Alauddin’s spiritual authority was deeply connected to the Ajmer shrine.

सोलह खम्बा – अजमेर के सोलह स्तंभों की अद्भुत धरोहर
सोलह खम्बा, जिसे “सोलह स्तंभ” कहा जाता है, अजमेर शरीफ दरगाह परिसर में स्थित एक सुंदर संगमरमर की संरचना है। तीन तरफ से खुली इस इमारत में 16 खम्बे, मेहराबें और चार कोनों पर पतली मीनारें बनी हुई हैं। एक फारसी शिलालेख के अनुसार इसका निर्माण 1070 हिजरी (1659 ईस्वी) में शैख़ अलाउद्दीन द्वारा करवाया गया था, जो ख्वाजा मोइनुद्दीन चिश्ती के वंशज थे।
पश्चिम दिशा की दीवार में तीन मीहराबों वाली मस्जिद और छह कब्रें बनी हुई हैं। यह निर्माण मुग़ल सम्राट औरंगज़ेब के शासनकाल में हुआ माना जाता है। शैख़ अलाउद्दीन का अजमेर दरगाह से आध्यात्मिक संबंध गहरा था।
