Tucked within the majestic Gwalior Fort lies Vikram Mahal, built in 1516 CE by Vikramaditya Singh, the eldest son of Raja Man Singh Tomar. Once home to a beautiful Shiva temple, this palace reflects both architectural beauty and spiritual history.
The original Shiva temple was destroyed during the Mughal period, but in a heartening act of preservation, it was rebuilt in the front courtyard of the palace. Vikram Mahal stands between Man Singh Palace and Karan Mahal, reminding us of Gwalior’s layered past.

विक्रम महल – भक्ति और वैभव की प्रतिध्वनि
ग्वालियर किले के भीतर स्थित विक्रम महल का निर्माण 1516 ई. में राजा मान सिंह तोमर के पुत्र विक्रमादित्य सिंह ने करवाया था। यह महल कभी एक प्राचीन शिव मंदिर का धाम था, जो बाद में मुगल काल में नष्ट कर दिया गया।
लेकिन इस ऐतिहासिक विरासत को पुनः जीवित किया गया जब शिव मंदिर को महल के सामने के खुले स्थान में पुनर्निर्मित किया गया। यह महल मान सिंह महल और करण महल के बीच स्थित है और आज भी तोमर वंश की सांस्कृतिक विरासत का प्रतीक है।
