The Chhatri of Maharaja Jaswant Singh in Orchha is a magnificent three-storied cenotaph commissioned by Maharani Amar Kunwari in memory of Bundela ruler Maharaja Jaswant Singh, who reigned from 1675 to 1684 AD and passed away in 1684.
This Bundela-Nagara style monument features a central sarvatobhadra garbhagriha, arched entrances on all four sides, surrounding verandahs, and ornate domes at the corners.
Located within the Royal Cenotaphs Complex on the southern bank of the Betwa River in Orchha, Madhya Pradesh, the chhatri is surrounded by lush gardens and 15 other royal memorials. The intricate carvings, perfect symmetry, and serene river views make it a favourite photography spot—especially during sunrise and sunset.
It stands as a lasting tribute to the Bundela dynasty’s royal heritage and architectural brilliance.

मध्य प्रदेश के ओरछा में बेतवा नदी के किनारे स्थित शाही स्मारक परिसर में महारानी अमर कुमारी द्वारा निर्मित यह भव्य तीन-मंजिला छत्री महाराजा जसवंत सिंह (शासनकाल: 1675–1684 ई., निधन: 1684 ई.) की स्मृति में बनवाई गई थी।
बुंदेला-नागर शैली में बनी इस छत्री में केंद्र में सर्वतोभद्र गर्भगृह, चारों दिशाओं में मेहराबदार द्वार, चारों ओर बरामदे और कोनों पर अलंकृत गुंबद हैं।
यह छत्री 15 अन्य शाही स्मारकों के बीच स्थित है और हरे-भरे बागों से घिरी हुई है। बारीक नक्काशी, संतुलित वास्तुशिल्प और बेतवा नदी का नज़ारा इसे सूर्योदय और सूर्यास्त के समय फोटोग्राफी के लिए बेहद खास बनाता है।
यह स्मारक न केवल एक बुंदेला राजा की याद में खड़ा है, बल्कि बुंदेला वंश की स्थापत्य कला और सांस्कृतिक धरोहर का प्रतीक भी है।
