Though no publicly available inscription or archival record reveals the temple’s exact founding year, it has long served as the principal Jain mandir of Chhaprauli, shaping the religious rhythm of the local community. Daily aartis, quiet meditation, and the celebration of festivals like Paryushan make it a living centre of devotion rather than a forgotten relic.
During my visit, one detail stood out — old silver coins embedded within the temple floor. This traditional practice was often associated with offerings made during construction or renovation. While this does not provide a confirmed date, it suggests that the mandir may have been established many decades ago, possibly over a century, a belief supported by local elders and community memory.

छपरौली के मुख्य बाज़ार में स्थित श्री पारसनाथ दिगम्बर जैन बड़ा मंदिर पीढ़ियों से श्रद्धा और संस्कृति का केंद्र रहा है। भगवान पारसनाथ को समर्पित यह शिखरबद्ध जैन मंदिर अपनी शांतिपूर्ण संरचना, नक्काशीदार स्तंभों और पवित्र वातावरण के कारण स्थानीय समुदाय की आध्यात्मिक पहचान बन चुका है।

मेरी यात्रा के दौरान फ़र्श में जड़े पुराने चाँदी के सिक्के विशेष रूप से ध्यान खींचते हैं। ऐसे सिक्के अक्सर निर्माण या जीर्णोद्धार के समय श्रद्धापूर्वक चढ़ाए जाते थे। यद्यपि यह सटीक आयु का प्रमाण नहीं है, पर स्थानीय मान्यता और परंपरा के अनुसार यह मंदिर कई दशकों से अधिक पुराना प्रतीत होता है — संभवतः एक सदी से भी अधिक।
