The sad state of grave of people’s poet Nazeer Akbarabadi Located just 100 meters from the iconic Taj Mahal, the tomb of Nazir Akbarabadi, also known as Mian Nazir Akbarabadi or Wali Muhammad, is a poignant reminder of the rich literary heritage of Urdu poetry. Born in Delhi in 1735, he was not only a voice for the common people but also the first to write ghazals in Urdu, a genre that continues to resonate with music and poetry lovers today. Sadly, the current state of his grave in Malko Gali, Tajganj, Agra, is disheartening. Covered with a tin shade, it is in dire need of restoration. But there’s hope! The Agra Development Authority (ADA) has plans to revitalize this sacred space, beautifying the area and showcasing Akbarabadi's renowned couplets. Every year on Basant Panchami, citizens gather at his tomb to pay tribute, reminding us of the importance of communal harmony and the power of poetry in our lives. Let’s come together to honor this literary giant and ensure his legacy lives on! जन कवि का सम्मान: नजीर अकबराबादी, आगरा। जन कवि नजीर अकबराबादी की कब्र की दुखद स्थिति प्रतिष्ठित ताज महल से मात्र 100 मीटर की दूरी पर स्थित, नजीर अकबराबादी की कब्र, जिन्हें मियां नजीर अकबराबादी या वली मुहम्मद के नाम से भी जाना जाता है, उर्दू शायरी की समृद्ध साहित्यिक विरासत की एक मार्मिक याद दिलाती है। 1735 में दिल्ली में जन्मे, वे न केवल आम लोगों की आवाज़ थे, बल्कि उर्दू में ग़ज़ल लिखने वाले पहले व्यक्ति भी थे, एक ऐसी शैली जो आज भी संगीत और कविता प्रेमियों के बीच गूंजती है। दुख की बात है कि आगरा के ताजगंज के मलको गली में उनकी कब्र की वर्तमान स्थिति निराशाजनक है। टिन शेड से ढकी हुई, इसे जीर्णोद्धार की सख्त ज़रूरत है। लेकिन उम्मीद है! आगरा विकास प्राधिकरण (ADA) ने इस पवित्र स्थान को पुनर्जीवित करने, क्षेत्र को सुंदर बनाने और अकबराबादी के प्रसिद्ध दोहों को प्रदर्शित करने की योजना बनाई है। हर साल बसंत पंचमी के दिन, नागरिक उनकी समाधि पर श्रद्धांजलि देने के लिए इकट्ठा होते हैं, जो हमें सांप्रदायिक सद्भाव के महत्व और हमारे जीवन में कविता की शक्ति की याद दिलाता है। आइए इस साहित्यिक दिग्गज का सम्मान करने के लिए एक साथ आएं और सुनिश्चित करें कि उनकी विरासत जीवित रहे! .1
