In the bustling stretch of Modinagar, right along the road that leads countless travelers towards Delhi, stands this serene temple dedicated to Bhagwan Shantinath — a silent witness to both devotion and movement.
For decades, people passing by have paused here…
not out of routine, but out of faith —
to seek blessings before continuing their journey ahead.
Its story traces back to 1952 — a time when devotion was not just expressed, but lived. It is believed that this temple was built by Premchand Ji Jain, fondly known as the “Jaina Watch Wale” of Delhi — a name that reflects both identity and legacy.
But beyond its physical presence lies its true spiritual essence.
As preserved in local tradition, the Panchkalyanak Pratishtha of this temple was performed by the revered Acharya Shantisagar — one of the most respected Digambar Jain Acharyas of the 20th century.
Since then, this temple has silently witnessed generations…
travelers stopping for a moment of peace,
devotees offering quiet prayers,
and time moving forward — yet pausing within its walls.
This is not just a temple.
It is a pause… before the journey continues.

कुछ स्थान ऐसे होते हैं जहाँ हम जाते हैं…
और कुछ ऐसे होते हैं जो हमारे भीतर बस जाते हैं।
मोदीनगर की व्यस्त सड़क पर, जहाँ से अनगिनत लोग दिल्ली की ओर यात्रा करते हैं, वहीं स्थित यह शांत मंदिर केवल एक स्थान नहीं, बल्कि आस्था का एक ठहराव है।
यहाँ से गुजरने वाले अनेक यात्री वर्षों से एक पल के लिए रुकते हैं…
सिर्फ दर्शन के लिए,
सिर्फ आशीर्वाद के लिए —
और फिर अपने मार्ग पर आगे बढ़ जाते हैं।
इस मंदिर की शुरुआत सन 1952 से जुड़ी मानी जाती है —
जब आस्था केवल पूजा नहीं, बल्कि जीवन का आधार हुआ करती थी।
स्थानीय परंपरा के अनुसार, इस मंदिर का निर्माण दिल्ली के प्रसिद्ध “जैना वॉच वाले” प्रेमचंद जी जैन द्वारा कराया गया था।
और इसकी आध्यात्मिक महत्ता और बढ़ जाती है क्योंकि जनश्रुति के अनुसार, यहाँ का पंचकल्याणक प्रतिष्ठा महान तपस्वी आचार्य शांतिसागर जी महाराज द्वारा सम्पन्न हुआ था।
तब से यह मंदिर पीढ़ियों का साक्षी बना हुआ है…
जहाँ हर यात्री कुछ क्षणों के लिए रुकता है,
और अपने भीतर एक शांति लेकर आगे बढ़ता है।
यह केवल एक मंदिर नहीं…
यह यात्रा के बीच एक ठहराव है।
