Seventy years ago in the year 1955, along the Railway Road of Shantinagar in Meerut, a quiet sanctuary of faith rose—Shri Shantinath Digambar Jain Temple. This private temple was lovingly built by late Smt. Mahaviri Devi, wife of late Lala Dharam Das Jain Sarraf, the renowned jeweller of Meerut and founder of Dharma Jewellers (est. 1918).
The temple’s consecration was marked by the grand Panch Kalyanak Pratishta Mahotsav, performed under the guidance of 108 Nemi Sagar Ji Maharaj. That historic moment turned the temple into a beacon of devotion for the Jain community of Meerut.
Even today, the temple is maintained with care by the family, standing not only as a house of worship but also as a living symbol of continuity—where the spiritual heartbeat of Meerut and the legacy of Dharma Jewellers remain inseparably woven together.

श्री शान्तिनाथ दिगम्बर जैन मंदिर, मेरठ
सत्तर वर्ष पहले 1955 में , मेरठ के शान्तिनगर रेलवे रोड पर, आस्था का एक शांत धाम बना—श्री शान्तिनाथ दिगम्बर जैन मंदिर। इस निजी मंदिर का निर्माण स्व. श्रीमती महाविरी देवी जी ने कराया था, जो स्व. लाला धर्मदास जैन सर्राफ, मेरठ के प्रसिद्ध सर्राफ और धर्मा ज्वैलर्स (स्थापना 1918) के संस्थापक की धर्मपत्नी थीं।
इस मंदिर में भव्य पंच कल्याणक प्रतिष्ठा महोत्सव का आयोजन १०८ नेमी सागर जी महाराज के सान्निध्य में हुआ, जिसने इसे जैन समाज का एक ऐतिहासिक और आध्यात्मिक केन्द्र बना दिया।
आज भी यह मंदिर परिवार द्वारा श्रद्धा से संरक्षित किया जा रहा है, और यह केवल एक उपासना स्थल नहीं बल्कि एक जीवंत प्रतीक है—जहाँ मेरठ की धार्मिक धड़कन और धर्मा ज्वैलर्स की विरासत एक सूत्र में जुड़ी हुई है।
